Hubby hesitant to set a "trying" date.

So me and my hubs have been married for almost 3 years now. Before we got married we talked about having kids, how long we would wait, how many we wanted etc.... He wanted to wait 5 years and I wanted to wait 1. So we decided to compromise and shoot for about 2 1/2 years. Well our 3 year anniversary is September 21st and we haven't even started to try. We just bought a house that was for the most part "move in ready". The only big project we are doing is remodeling the kitchen, (which should be done in 2 weeks) and now he wants to wait until we are finished with that. I just feel like he is looking for reasons to keep postponing it. My husband is an amazing man of God and I love him more than words can say. I guess I'm just getting impatient and nervous. Any advice?
