Midwife, or OBGYN and why???

Question

I'm leaning more towards a midwife. In the hospital. I'm not sure I'm ready for a home birth or anything. Haha 
Anyways, any input would be nice.

I love my midwives.  There are four at my practice.  They listen so well and take great care if me. I have so many options for labor. I never feel like I'm being told what to do. For example,  I'm 41 weeks now and instead of just inducing me they are doing extra monitoring to make sure he is ok. Every appointment leaves plenty of time for questions and discussion.

My aunt had a midwife for her fourth baby. And said she will only recommend a midwife. Because it was the best thing ever and she felt they listened and actually cared for you more than her OBGYN did. 
I'll have to continue looking into it and see if insurance will cover it though.

I'll only see midwives unless there are complications. They take the time to listen and take a more patient centered approach. The follow-up care is outstanding too. A home visit the day after we came home from the hospital, breastfeeding support, and weekly visits until 6 weeks pp. I'm in Canada though so this may differ depending on where you are.

The hospital I'm going to does both midwives and doctors , I have a midwife but will be birthing in the hospital with her .

I have a midwife, and my mom had both me and my brother with a midwife.

They're so helpful and informative and unbiased, and explain to you SO MUCH about the actual process and what's happening and what you can do to best prepare for it.

I had a midwife and I loved it. I felt like I was listened to, and what I wanted went. We were told the pros and cons to everything, nothing was forced on us. (Where I feel some doctors force things on you, or make it sound like you have to get it done)

I had a water birth in the hospital, it was the best thing ever! I only have the one baby, but it felt like all the weight was lifted, and eased the pain alot.

We couldn't go home whenever we wanted (we went home the same day because there were no private rooms) because they do a follow up that day, the next two days i believe, then every other day, then it gets less and less until 6 weeks.

At least that's how they do it in Canada.

If I get in again I'm doing a water birth at home.

I wanted a midwife but insurance doesn't cover it so I have an Obgyn. I really like my Obgyn tho!
