Should I get dummy's/pacifiers?

I really don't like them and don't really want to use them but should I get some anyway just incase they will be needed?

We bought some just in case. We knew we weren't going to have her rely on a pacifier because it is extremely hard to wean them off, plus it can hinder how their teeth come in.

We bought 2 for our daughter and she is almost 3 months. I have used the Pacifier less than 5 times and each time she would spit it out after a minute or two.

My baby is 7 wks and doesn't use one and my other children now 9 and 18 never used one either, if they never have one they never have to give it up later!

I didn't use one as a baby, I sucked my finger. I have some for my baby due next month, but not going to force them if he doesn't take it. It's going to be up to you and baby.

Mine wouldnt take one and instead used ME as a pacifire. This time around I am going to try like hell to find one this kid will take. Have a baby on the tit 24/7 isnt the best.

My kids never would take them. My mom insisted on one with my oldest and he hated them with a passion! 😄

I don't like them either especially the effects they can have on the teeth 
but I'm buying one in case he gets too attached to the nipple as it will probably drive me crazy

The hospital should have some they will give you if needed. My sister went in with the intention of not using one, but it was the only thing that would soothe my nephew after she had to be put under for a c-section. They sent her home with a few.

I'm not a fan of pacifiers personally, and the SIDS claim is unsubstantiated in my book.

Your baby will decide if they want one or not. They Are also believed to help prevent SIDS
