Should I wake my baby up to eat?

My daughter is 11 days old. She eats 3 oz of breastmilk at a time, generally about every 3 hours. Sometimes she will sleep for past 4 hours. Should i wake her up to feed her?

If they have regained yo birth weight my motto is never wake a sleeping baby! They will wake up when they are hungry.

Honestly they will do what they like anyways. If they are hungry they wake up and cry to let you know. Let them sleep you will get into a routine soon enough

If you are trying to keep your breast milk supply up then yes. Its more about your supply in the beginning than the baby getting enough food. Your milk will go down the less often you feed baby. I wake my son up if it's been 4 hours just so I don't lose milk supply.

I think it all depends on the child. My son has always been woke up to eat, if I let him from the beginning he'd probably sleep through the night. It's not really even waking him up, I can pick him up, feed him, change him, and put him back in his crib without waking him (daddy is not so successful!). He's 5.5 months old now and I still wake him, he eats every 4-4.5 hours at night. In two weeks is when we start to allow him to sleep through the night and see if he will wake up to feed, I just don't like waiting till he's upset and crying for food.
