Cradle cap or dry scalp???

My son's scalp has been like this for several weeks...I just heard of cradle cap the other day and now concerned if he has it. I always thought it was just him peeling like new borns do but he is now almost 6 weeks old.

Just put a little coconut oil and brush it out carefully works for both but just looks like dry skin it's normal

Cradle cap is very common, and the easiest way to get rid of it and prevent it from coming back is daily stimulation-- using a gentle baby brush to massage the head. It's normal and most kiddos have it to some extent at various points in time throughout the first year or two. Some coconut oil can soothe it, but very few babies really even notice.

Cradle cap. I put olive oil on the affected area about 5-10 minutes before bath time and then took a comb and scraped it off. I did a few swipes in each direction and then washed his head. I repeated for each bath until it was gone.

Ty all, DH is running to trader joes now to grab some coconut oil for us since I'm stuck giving the boob to my little guy! Thanks again will give a bath tomorrow!
