Terconazole?

My doctor has prescribed me Terconazole for a yeast infection . I was wondering if anyone has used this before & if so how did you apply it ? Laying on your back as the paper says or squatting ? I tried on my back, inserted in slowly & when I took it out to my surprise the medicine was all over the applicator 🙄
