Controversial? Race? Am I wrong? :EDIT:

Kate • Ryder 9/24/15, Expecting Aurora Mae October 2016
I am mermommy_ on Instagram and I came across a page for cloth diapering and saw the comment goddess7914 left and I had to say something back, in the end after the two comments I left I was blocked. Am I wrong?
.
After I was blocked the woman who made the original comment private messaged me.
.
.
I then realized she was deleting all of her comments. Before I could capture the last ones.

This might be a little nit-picky and I apologize but race definitely influences how children grow up. Race has a relationship with socio-economic status. It's not just a caretaker raising that baby, it's society and all its harmful stereotypes paired with privilege and dis-privilege. I'm not sure I'm understanding the context of the post/picture so this might be irrelevant? Anyway, intersectionality.

i have to disagree as well. i cant wrap my head around how race plays a factor in a baby able to hold it's head? maybe i am missing something

Yeah the video was a baby laying on the floor kicking it's legs while the mother tied her in a wrap, the woman made the comment that white babies can't hold their heads up. I don't think a race has anything to do with how the muscles in a baby develop.

Thats a weird conversation! You said nothing wrong as you are stating true facts because race has nothing to do with a wobbling head! It has all to do with neck muscle strength. And babies come along differently in that area.

I was just so confused in the statement that was made and when I said something and was blocked I was even more confused.

It annoys me that whites are automatically better off/don't get to weigh in on racism talks because they're "privileged." But if someone of Asian, Indian, black etc heritage called me a stupid white bitch, that's still racist. Some people call it "reverse racism" but IMO there's no such thing.

It's NOT about how your grew up*

It's now about HOW you grew up. It's not about saying "white oriole are mean they keep blacks poor!" It's about the negative stereotypes and perceptions SOME white people have about POC that can prevent POC from having the same kind of experiences as white peoples.

Was in his walker at just 4 months, running around my house, came out of me trying to hold his head up.... He's very smart and advanced for his age. So I can't say I agree the way someone was raised and what they were put through has anything to do with the development of a child.

I honestly think this person is a troll I wouldn't worry about it. They never answered your question, so it's fine. Just leave it alone and push it away this person is totally joshing you.

Well I mean she is talking about half of herself so its actually kinda confusing. Gotta pick and choose your battles and the fact that she is half and speaking negatively on that half this wasn't that battle lol

I didn't care what color the person who put the comment was, what I was trying to get across is that race doesn't matter. I understand what you're saying but I just don't think race has anything to do with how a child's muscles develop.
