Night feedings

Stephanie
I usually go by a 3 hour rule during the day unless she's inconsolable then I'll feed her earlier than the 3 hours. At night it's hard for me to know when she wakes up if she's waking up because she can't stay asleep or if she's actually hungry. I don't understand how my nights are so inconsisient when my days are fairly consistent. Last night she went to bed 830, woke about an hour later then slept till 430. Tonight she went to bed 840, woke up about an hour later, again at 2 am, and now at 4 am. I don't know why she woke up so many times tonight. So I'm thinking...did she not have enough food during the day, could she not change sleep cycles and stay asleep, was she hungry, is she going through a growth spurt, etc. I mean maybe it's normal but I was hoping by the time she was 4 months old and I return to work that she'd (almost) sleep through the night. I guess I'm just tired and venting. I just don't know if she's actually hungry or if it's more of a sleep issue. Sometimes when she wakes up too frequently I'll offer a paci first and if she's inconsolable and won't go back to sleep I feed her. I'm counting down the days till she sleeps through the night cause I won't be able to function at work. 😫
