When to start solids?!

Who is starting their little one on solids this month? And who is waiting?

My son just turned 4 months Sunday, and after getting the green light from his pediatrician yesterday since he's developing awesome, we tried rice cereal last night. I'm pretty sure it was the taste rather than the texture that got him. 😂

We started our peanut at 3 months and 3 weeks. She is having a horrible time with acid reflux. So she can only have bottle every two and a half hours or she would puke half of it back up but she would get hungry in between. She loves eating! Lol and a bonus if she isn't puking as much!!

Those of you starring solids... How much do you give your baby at a time? I want to start making a freezing purées but I'm not sure how many oz to freeze in a container.

My baby is 4 months and I've just started giving him solids a week ago and he loves it. It took a few tries for him to get the hang of it but he loves bananas now lol

I think it all comes down to the baby itself. I never had a set rule and so far 3 out of my 4 kids started with the rice cereal by 4 months. My biggest son was also having solid foods by then because he showed interest and ate well when offered. This time around my baby is not taking to it as well so I'm just giving it time until she is.

We are waiting until 6 months if my chunky monkey can hold out that long! I want to do baby led weaning also. He is 4 months now and has just started watching me eat and is super curious about it. He's EBF for now though!

We just had our DDs 4 month appointment and the doctor gave us the go ahead. We will start this week with cereal
