wrong for me to want to pick the first name?

My boyfriend has one name he is sticking (hence the word "sticking") with to name our son and he will NOT compromise, but I don't like it I don't think it flows. We only have a few weeks left and I do have a name picked out, but he says no it's going to be the one he wants. Our son is already getting my boyfriend's first name as his middle name and my boyfriend's last name. I want to pick the first name! Besides he wanted a girl and I wanted a boy, and it's a boy soo as in "so is it wrong for me to want to pick the first name?" Damn

Me and my ex partner had it , that I named a boy and he named a girl , this time round me and my partner are trying to agree and have a few names in mind, tell your boyfriend that it is your baby to and to stop being so selfish over the name picking! ,

You need to both be able to compromise. He needs to grow up and stop thinking it's all his choice. It's not you made the baby together you name him together.

My first son got a family middle name from his dads side and his dads last name. We couldn't agree on first names. I picked what I wanted in the end, his dad hated it for a little while but he got used to it lol. Besides, he wanted a girl and I wanted a boy AND he had picked out an entire name for a girl I still hate to this day and it wasn't something he would compromise on at all. I'm glad j got the boy I wanted lol and we all like his name years down the road.

I think that both of you should agree on both the first and middle name! If that doesn't work, and he won't compromise on the middle name, then maybe the two of you can come up with a few names that you both like for the first name, and you can have the final decision between those few names that you've agreed on.

No it is not wrong u put want u want on the birth certificate and then call him what u want. My mother's name legally is Kathleen but she has always been called Candy
