Need to rant

It may sound really stupid but I finally started my birth control up and I'm almost done with my first pack and I told my boyfriend that we don't really need to worry about any other protection anymore and he just had to bring up his ex and how she was on the pill and that she got pregnant and miscarried and so he wants to continue to pull out just because of his ex. It may sound stupid but it hair bothers me that we can't have normal sex because of what happened with his ex.! I just wish he would move on from all of that and trust me that I don't want kids right now because I have an entire future planned out and kids just aren't a part of it right now. I just wish he would get that but I guess he doesn't.
