When do you announce your pregnancy?

This is my first pregnancy and im so excited. I go next week for my first doctors appointment. But i believe im about 5 weeks. I want to tell everyone but im nervous because people say to wait. How long do most people wait before making the announcement?

I didn't wait. Most people say to wait until the 12 week Mark because anything can happen. Newsflash, anything can happen to anyone, at any moment, anywhere. I say, enjoy and celebrate every second of your pregnancy. I say, think positive! :)

We made our announcement at 6w 4d when we had our ultrasound we couldn't wait to celebrate our lil blip 😍 so in love even with the morning (all day) sickness

It's up to you and what you feel would be best. Our first one we told everyone right away but then ended up losing it so this time we're waiting til the first trimester is over. Ultimately It all depends on you. 😃

We're announcing tomorrow! I'll be 7 weeks exactly. Me and my husband are giving our dads a Father's Day present with a memory box with ultrasound pictures in it!

We are telling our families on both of our family vacations in July. Everyone will be together so it'll be perfect. I'll be 11 weeks for the first one and 13 weeks for the second one.

I'm waiting until after we find out the gender to tell the rest of our family (only my parents and my sil/best friend know right now) and then after we have the baby or until we are almost due. We had a miscarriage in March and I told everyone very early and when I had the miscarriage after very turbulent 10 weeks, there was no support except from the ones we have already told.

Whenever you want to. a baby is a baby from conception and we chose to ackowdlwge and celebrate our baby from the beginning no matter what Happens. I would not want to suffer alone. I don't know why people feel the need to tell you when you should announce, it's your baby. You decide.

Waiting until 8 week ultrasound to tell parents/ immediate family and close friends. Then 12 weeks to tell everyone else.

I've told co-workers (I'm a nurse so it was a necessity so they would know why I can't lift/be around shingles etc), some family members & close friends. I'm going to announce on the 4th of July, I'll be around 10 weeks then. I will have had 2 ultrasounds the first one I already had with the sweetest little heartbeat & the second I will be almost 9 weeks.
