Is your 4 month old laughing yet?

My 4 month old isn't laughing yet. And it worries me.

Ours started laughing when she was about 4.5 months, about two weeks ago. She still only laughs occasionally. It was the same when she started smiling - very rarely and then gradually more often. I was worried too, but everything I read said a) in the 3rd or 4th month is a normal time to start laughing and b) no reason to worry even if they laugh later so long as they engage in other ways (coo, responsive smiling, etc).

I'm sure your baby will laugh soon. My son only laughs at certain things or people.

My son has been laughing for months. He giggles and belly laughd a lot throughout the day. We just look at him and he smiles and it grows till its a full laugh.

We got a chuckle a few weeks ago then nothing but his usual happy baby squeals until like 20 minutes ago when I got him going with a game of peek-a-boo

My son laughs but you have to be REALLY funny or maybe he's just a really tough critic ;) he laughs when something almost scares him like I'll turn my head away from him and quickly turn it towards him and say baby! And he'll giggle.

I want to say yes and no...

I mean idks for sure. He makes this happy sound sometimes... but idk if it's a full on laugh yet... he's had some squeaky moments too.. I'll say no for now... I hope he does soon...
