Adalat Retard for Braxton Hicks?

Had anyone been prescribed Adalat Retard? Googling is giving me mixed results but mostly warning against its usage. My Doctor prescribed it as I am getting Braxton Hicks too often. But she hasn't examined me and I don't have any symptoms of preterm labour. I am inclined not to take it at all. Anyone else has taken it? What was your experience? Any medical professionals here who could advice?
