Any 911 dispatchers ?

Question

I'm applying for a 911 dispatcher position while 4.5 months pregnant . Are there any restrictions or complications with working this job while pregnant ? Or any training that I would not be able to complete because of this ?

Is there a physical exam done at any point in time of the interview ? 
Any questions you remember as part of your interview?

I dispatched in Idaho a recently moved back to Utah I also applied and have an interview for another 911 centers here in utah but not positive I want to continue dispatching only because it's a 24/7 job, you work tough schedules and holidays and considering I'm 16 weeks pregnant I'm not sure I want to miss holidays and things with my baby.. where are you applying? I think it's physically possible but probably depends on the center I'm sure they all require different trainings

I was a dispatcher and it's not physically demanding neither the training nor the job but it is mentally demanding! And as stated it is a 27/7 job...I worked 2nd shift and literally felt like I slept, woke, and went to work it consumed my life! Def has it's pros and cons and working with mostly females in a fixed area for a lengthy period of time is mentally demanding in itself! lol Best wishes on ur endeavors!

I dispatched police and fire. It can be VERY stressful. I was on the phone with a girl while her boyfriend was beating her. People calling and screaming because their spouse was having a seizure or heart attack. Someone came home and found their spouse dead because he hung himself. If you feel like you can deal with all these things then go for it. For me it was not worth it. It was just way too stressful.
