Cutting baby's nails?

Question

I'm scared to cut my daughter's fingernails but they're so sharp they feel like knives on my breasts! I tried filing them, but it takes so long. I just bought a pair of scissors, but am scared to use them. 
Any tips??

Use an emery board. We do it while he is sleeping and he sleeps completely thru it.

Thanks for the advice ladies! I did a combo of using the scissors and biting them while she was sleeping. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was 😄

Wait til there in a deep sleep pull the finger back a little to expose the nail more and use the scissors just go slow if ur nervous the first time after u do it ur gonna be like omg this was nothing it's more intimidating then it actually is good luck

I cut them with the little baby nail clippers while he is nursing. It's the only time he is completely limp. Lol. Otherwise he is too strong and pulls away.
My mom said she used to cut my nails when I was sleeping.

I bite my baby's nails as well. It's so easy to feel when you are at the skin vs trying to use clippers. I do it while she nurses and she doesn't even notice!

I know it sounds gross but bite them off, that's what my doctor recommended because you can feel how far down the nail is being cut!
