Is it bad to take AZO while pregnant?

My doctor said not to take AZO tabs. He said they turn your pee orange which affects the baby's pee and makes it orange. He said that the baby swims in its pee for 9 months so it will basically come out looking like a CARROTT with dyed orange skin since it had been soaking in orange pee for 9 months.... I didn't take them for this reason. But I'd imagine if you took them for a day or two it wouldn't do this... He was probably talking about people who take them frequently though out pregnancy but I'm not sure.

I cant believe how many people voted no! Thats crazy! Its fine, I took it, although for me it didnt work the kidney infection was already so bad I had to go to the hospital. It's fine, though :) no need to be in pain if you don't have to be, especially if no damage is caused.

AZO makes more than cranberry pills, they also make meds for yeast infections, and meds for urinary pain. I think they are safe however I would consult with my provider or the advice nurse before taking things over the counter.
