Evening primrose oil?

Has anyone used Evening Primrose Oil to soften their cervix? I'm 75% effaced and I've been reading that helps??

I've not used it... but talking with my midwife about it I've learnt the following;  it takes a bit of time to work.  You can start it around 36 weeks. It can be just as effective taken orally,  some take it vaginally.  It has been taken for centuries.  Taken with raspberry leaf tea is nice. It is mentioned to soften cervix not bring on contractions.  Hope this helps. .... I plan on taking it when my midwife recommends me to.

My dr. Gave me the OK to start taking it at 34 weeks. I'm now 36 weeks and I just also started taking it vaginally as well as orally. I find out if I'm dialated on monday
