What about other caregivers?

ba
There have been so many stories in the news recently of accidents involving children. THIS IS FOR ALL THE PEOPLE WHO CAME TO THE DEFENSE OF THE PARENTS: would you have felt differently if it was another caregiver, such as a nanny, relative, or family friend? The circumstances would remain the same except for the adult in charge. If the boy at the Cincinnati zoo would have been with his nanny, would you have defended the nanny? If the boy at Disney World would have been with his aunt, would you have defended the aunt? Would it still have been "an accident"? Would "accidents happen" still ring true?
Disclaimer: I am not saying the parents were at fault in either case- that's not what I want this debate to be about. I am genuinely curious as I am a nanny and cannot imagine what would happen if an accident (like those mentioned) happened while I was on duty.
