Tongue tie?

My daughter has some minor tongue tie issues.  I'm contemplating having it corrected. Has anyone had experience here? What was the experience like, and how was your baby days-weeks after the procedure?

My son was tongue tied and they snipped it in the hospital within 24 hours of being born. No complications, no tears, and he's actually nurses better because of having it done.

They said my son does but I'm not going to do anything. Unless they say too he is completely fine I am not BF but when I did he was fine (=

My pediatrician hasn't said that it was a problem so I'm not worried at all.

I think it depends how bad it is. My boy is slightly tongue tied. My pediatrician said unless it's affecting breast feeding intervention is unnecessary and it won't affect his speech or anything down the line so we decided not to intervene.

My Ped said my baby had a "slight" tongue tie. We're opting to not get it fixed. He feeds fine.

I know quite a few people who have had it done for their babies. They've all said it's a night and day difference when it comes to nursing. The latch pain goes away immediately for momma. They also said some doctors don't tell you to "sweep" the lip and tongue every day. Basically stock your finger under their tongue and lip and go side to side once so the skin doesn't grow back. Some doctors/dentists won't tell you so that u have to come back and pay for it to be done again. I've heard laser is the quickest & least painful way to have it done.
