Young.College/ relationships: marriage?

Does anyone have any tips and or personal expirence with being in college and being married 
The boyfriend and I are thinking about getting engaged and I need some advice on what to do. We just want to make it official already. 
I'm 18 he's 20

Weddings are just so freaking expensive.
I'm in nursing school and we've been together five years and we got each other promise rings a long time ago. 
But I feel being in a healthy steady relationship helps keep me on track i have all a's and some B's.
I see nothing wrong with it if you can afford it good luck.

I got married the summer before my senior year #ClassOf2016!! He wasn't in school but working 50+ hours a week. I was 21 he was 24. (God bless this man) Our wedding was small and hella impromptu, my parents disowned me and didn't come but I had very supportive friends come and help (one even ended up getting certified to marry us when our minister flaked out!) Budget was maybe $500? Bought my dress on Amazon and bargain shopped the rest of it. If you want to get married make sure you can afford it or have people help. Hell if anything else get married in the courthouse and save for a bigger wedding later on. It's up to both of you but make sure you're both ok because this is a big moment for both of you and lashing out later isn't healthy. 
Anyway the toughest part is making sure you two spend quality time together. Homework, group projects and the like take so much time. You might think that sitting next to each other while doing hw is quality time and it'll do for a while but you've got to get out away from homework/work and just be together. Take walks in between hw assignments. Have a picnic lunch in between classes. You've got to learn to cope with stress because lashing out against your partner will hurt the relationship. One thing for sure is that you'll both grow up super fast and might not go through some of the same mistakes/events as your single peers and that's ok. Be ok with the fact that your college experience will be a lot different. Be respectful of the fact that both of you will change a lot as time goes on but by the time you graduate you'll look back and be glad you did it. Hope this helps, message me if you want! 😊
