Hospital stay, What to pack for food?

Question

I don't eat hospital food and I'm a vegan which means that I will have to carry my own food. Are you in the same situation? What will you bring with you? My hubby will be with the kids and might not be able to bring the food on time and I don't want to wait on him. Just looking for some ideas of what others have done.

Whatever you normally eat as snacks. Veggie and fruits?

I just packed snacks(granola, bananas) but there was a kitchen with a fridge and my hospital has so many snacks. So if your husband brings food you can keep it in the fridge.

Pre-make whatever you want. You can make it at home and refrigerate it for the go and keep it while at the hospital. You can also pack some snacky vegan food you like.
