Our little miracle is here after a surprise inducement!

Wednesday at 9am my mom and I went to my 39 week OB appt and found out I had preclampsia (high blood pressure and protein in my urine) so I was getting induced! I asked if we could go home and get my bag and she said nope, walk across the street to the hospital and call your husband to bring your bag.

They gave me pitocin to start the contractions around 11. At 12:50 my OB said I was 4cm and broke my water. The contractions got pretty painful so I asked for an epidural. I got the epi at 2:45 but was still feeling the contractions just as strongly as I had before the epi. So the nurse checked me and said I was 10cm and it was GO time! The anesthesiologist told me to wait to have her until 315 so the epi would kick in. My OB came back over and I pushed through about 4 contractions and she was here! My placenta on the other hand took several more pushes and another 20-30 mins.

Emily Elizabeth made her debut June 15th at 3:20pm. Weighing in at 6lbs 1oz, 19 inches long, and a full head of luxurious hair. We are SO head over heels with our little miracle baby!
