Mucus loss

I've been losing mucus since Wednesday.. My contractions get really bad by the end of the day to the point of tears then they go away when I go to sleep.. Would you just go in and get checked to make sure everything is normal? I call and they tell me everything is normal but it's just too much to deal with.. I was almost 3cm on Wednesday and 5cm on Friday.. Both days I was stripped.
