Help on whooping cough issue

So someone thought it would be appropriate to bring their toddler to my baby shower with whooping cough.... My daughter is vaccinated my biggest concern is I was waiting till my next appointment to get the vaccine. Is their a chance I could catch it and keep it till I deliver 12 weeks from now? I am about to go sterilize the Legos they played with. I had no idea she had it till someone asked how her whooping cough was going... The mom is also pregnant so I'm really shocked she would bring her baby out with it, without even asking if I vaccinate my daughter or anything.... Not looking for mean comments just concerned and don't know much about it.
