Does your partner share the excitement??

I feel very excited about the idea of getting pregnant, but my fiancé seems more scared than any other thing! We have good jobs and a proper age (I am 27 and he is 35) but although he is up to start trying he doesn't feel my excitement? Is this normal or should I stop trying until he feels more confident?? Thanks!
