Baby kicks??

What do they feel like at first?

I'm a first time mom, 16 weeks and 4 days. My doctor said most people feel them 18-22 weeks, but you could feel a lil something before then.  I've been getting like a twitch sensation below my belly button or a bubble sensation, and I've been thinking its just me. but it's happening more and more often I just can't help but wonder if it's our lil one? I guess I always thought the first kick would really feel like a kick, not a flutter lol.

That's probably baby! I was feeling the same a few weeks ago, and then one day, it was followed by a kick! Totally startled me. Lol! It feels like little gas bubbles, but without the pressure of gas, if that helps. :) So exciting for you!

You'll feel flutters at first. As baby gets bigger and stronger the kicks get more noticeable but it's mostly just movement at first which is likely what you're feeling.

It feels like a sudden bubble or someone poking me from the inside near the surface of my belly where my uterus is lol.
