Tampon talk

I'm 13 and I haven't had my period even for a year yet, but I really want to try tampons. Honestly wearing pads feels like your sitting in blood all day in a diaper and I hate it😡. I really want to try tampons, but my mom want let me. Can someone help me figure out plans so I can try tampons?
