should I be taking prenatal vitamins?

Have been ttc for 1 year. I bought the vitamins and was taking them a year ago thinking I would get pregnant quickly. should I be taking them right now? Will it help my chances of conceiving?

Yes take them so your body has all the nutrients it needs to create a healthy environment for the baby but it will not directly impact fertility.

No they won't help you conceive however my ob said its best to start them 3-6 months before trying. Regardless they are great vitamins for women to take. I've been told you can take them all the time. I use natures made with DHA. I've not had any problems with them. I hear of people having nausea and other problems with prenatals.

I have lots of allergies so I can't eat fruits/veggies unless they're processed, or nuts. So I don't get enough nutrients there.

As a mother of a special needs child, please.....(or make sure you have a diet that gets you all the required daily vitamins.)
