Anyone hypothyroid and use BC?

I've been on my thyroid pills for 6 months now and want to go back on the pill but I'm afraid double synthetic-hormones is going to do me some damage.

I have an overactive thyroid and they made me get on a Birth control when I started my treatment. The pills they gave me would have had terrible side effect on a fetus so it is very important that I don't get pregnant. I don't think taking birth control will effect the function of your thyroid meds.

I have an underactive thyroid and have been on depo injection for a few years. Never had any problems. They are different horemones. I take levothyroxine. Hope this helps.
