Day 4!!!

It might not seem like a big deal to a lot of you..especially the sanctimommies that judge..but I have been officially cigarette-free for 4 days!!! I've been trying to quit since I found out I was pregnant, but it was extremely harder than I expected. I went from a pack and a half a day to only 5 a day for weeks but just couldn't shake the 5..until 4 days ago :) Officially smoke free!! For those of you still struggling to quit, my thoughts and prayers are with you, I know how hard it is to just set those vicious little sticks down..but I have faith in you.

A little side note for you as well before the condescending remarks begin, and before the "you're a horrible mommy for smoking at all" or "you're going to kill your child or give it severe birth defects" comments start- I have 4 previous children..My first I never touched a cigarette with, has asthma. My second, I smoked throughout the entire pregnancy and drank coffee, no health issues. My third, smoked halfway through, jaundiced at birth but absolutely no issues since. My fourth, didn't touch a cigarette once, severe eczema.

Just because something possibly could go wrong, doesn't mean that it will. Stop judging each other and start supporting, especially the moms that are struggling. Not everyone handles situations the same..what was easy for one, could be impossible for another. All we can do is offer our support, advice, and encouragement.
