You cannot get pregnant if you don't ovulate. If you don't release an egg, there is nothing for the sperm to fertilize.

You can get pregnant as long as you're ovulating. Not necessarily in that moment, but you have to ovulate to get pregnant. You can get pregnant outside of your fertile window, though.
