Induction and question?

Well tomorrow is my day to be induced but I'm due the 22nd which I hope she's arrives. I'm excited but once I step foot in the hospital I'll be a little nervous. Is there anything I need to know about being induced?

Why do you want the 22nd? Usually it takes many hours after being induced to actually go into labor especially if your a ftm, so  you have a good chance of the 22nd being possible.

I was induced with my first and didn't have any progress at all on my own before starting. I was admitted to hospital at 11pm and had my 9lb 7oz baby girl by 8:03am, vaginally. My experience was a good one, they all aren't mom and scary. I didn't have any complications. The only thing I can say is try to mentally prepare yourself for the pain. The pitocin makes the contractions come strong and fast, very painful. I had IV pain meds and an epidural and it was smooth sailing after that! So good luck and everyone is different so don't go in to it scared. I was a FTM and induced and it went great and fast for me. I'm being induced next week, just because and hope it goes as well as my first time😀

Well, just have an open mind. Never had an induction. But I'm sure is like any other birth. You have to be open minded to whatever comes your way. Sending prayers your way *hugs*

I was induced with my second son, which ended in a csection. His heart rate kept dropping towards the end of my labor. I was about 7cm. Just keep in mind that anything can change in a moment. Best wishe. 💖

Everyone is so different. Are you dilated at all or effaced? I would say don't go in with any expectations. A lot changes and very quickly and prepare for it to be long in my experience. But I was t dilated or effaced at all and was over due with my first.

I got induced, epidural @ 5cm and I couldn't feel a thing. Epidural was a piece of cake too 😊 
Sadly, my induction failed and my baby's heart rate, along with mine, kept dropping so I had to have an emergency csection.

Easy before you go in!! Once they start you on pitocin you are on a liquid diet! And THAT sucks! Lol but no need to be nervous, you'll have your baby soon!! :)
