I'm a day past my due date and at my appointment today, my doctor decided to schedule me for an induction.... I guess I've heard a lot of induction horror stories and was really hoping to avoid an emergency c-section and/or a bad reaction to any drugs they may have to give me because of an induction. I guess I'd feel more comfortable only scheduling an induction right before I hit 42 weeks to give the baby enough time to come naturally but my doctor wants to go ahead and do it as soon as possible. I'm having a very low-risk pregnancy so I feel there's really no reason to be induced at all...At least before 42 weeks. I guess I'm asking for advice from people who have been induced, what to expect, and reasons why it really is best to be induced this Thursday.
