Thinking of getting a tattoo how bad does it hurt?

I want one on my shoulder not sure which one I want but if I do get one this is going to be my first one. How bad Did it hurt your first time getting one?

The one on my shoulder blade hurt! Needles jabbing into your bone.. made my bones vibrate! But it's bearable pain as long as you're not a whimp haha 😂

I got my first tattoo on my calf and it didn't really hurt that bad. Yes their needles, but it just feels like someone's pulling the hair on your legs.

Depends on location and your pain tolerance,everyone is different when it comes to pain.

Honestly, the pain isn't great. It's not unbearable. But once you get one, you'll love it so much and forget the pain and you'll keep getting more

It depends where you're getting it on your body, what your pain threshold is and who the tattooist is. I prefer to get tattooed by a lady as the one I go to is gentler I find. 
This is my shoulder tattoo. Took about 3 hours, was sore but bearable.

This is my thigh tattoo... Same sore but bearable.

I also have my wrist, foot, hand, hip, stomach and lower back tattooed. 
For me the order of pain from worst to least was: hip, lower back, shoulder, thigh, hand, stomach, foot then wrist. But we are all different!!! Good luck x

It's not too bad. I got one on my back in winter and was freezing! I couldn't stop shivering!

It hurt but I held on to a pillow the whole time. I did want to cry at some of the time but I do want to get more

I have 10 tattoos, none are on my shoulder blades though, pain is different for everyone. If you want it go for it!
