Was it my fault? He's only four days old but he was breastfeeding like a champ. I mean it. It didn't take him long for him to latch at all and he was doing fine. Today, while he was sleeping, I pumped milk because my nipples were so sore and they hurt so bad so I had a bottle for him instead when he woke up. After that, the next two feelings, he wouldn't latch. He would start and then unlatch and then start yelling. He was looking for my breast but when he would finally latch, he would unlatch again. I am very frustrated because I really wanted him to breastfeed. I've tried different positions. I've tried stimulating his mouth. I had milk on the tip of my nipples to try to lure him. Still nothing. Did I ruin his chances of breastfeeding now?
