Hate being told ' your young and have time on your side'
This is a rather big rant and I'm sorry if I upset anyone or sound selfish.
I'm nearly 23 and my partner is 28 and we have been ttc for over four years. We were refused help for two years and hen for the last two year have been a battery of tests, operations and several failed clomid rounds.
I never had regular cycles and between the age of 13 and 20 they disappeared all together ( I started mine at 9 years of age). I have PCOS and hypothyroidism. Since April I have had a period every month and my cycles are 28-30 days long.
Today I had my fertility appointment to order and pay for my gonal f injections because we have exhausted all other options.
Because I revealed I've had three months of regular cycles and my ovulation tests revealed two of those months I've ovulated they have now refused to go ahead with the gonal f injections and are back tracking to just scans. That's no help at all. They are just monitoring my natural cycles.
We are paying for our help so why won't they just help ?
I have to mention that both last month and this my LH surge came on cycle days 6 and 7. I have been told today that I will never get pregnant ovulating that early.
My Ob/Gyn said 'you are young and have time on your side' why does everyone feel the need to say this?
I have a career and a house. We have a solid income and can provide everything for ourself and a child. It angers me so much that they use my age as a anchorage not to help.
I feel deflated and depressed. Four years 7 months of this hell :(
Rant over
