Water broke? Or peed the bed?

One or the other happened at 3:30am last night!  :)  I think it was my water breaking,  but there hasn't been much liquid since... has anyone had the baby's head "seal" the cervix so that there hasn't been a lot of further leaking?

False alarm! According to the nitrazine swab ph test, my water did not break.  So apparently I peed the bed. :/

I started having light, brown-colored spotting too, so hopefully any day now.

When my water broke I thought the same thing but I had just peed a half hour earlier and within a half hour from that the contractions became really intense and every time I experienced one, a little more water leaked out. My baby was born 5 hours later 😊

When my water broke the water was clear and did not smell like urine. I had one gush and then it stopped. Later it trickled out a little every once in awhile. But that's it. I would call your doctor. I wasn't sure and they had me come in, they have tests they can do to see if that's what happened. If it is they may induce since once the water breaks you could be open to infections. Good luck! You will do great!

I wish this wasn't so hard to tell the difference. The other night right before bed I went and and peed like I always do. When I had finished I wiped and stood up. When I stood, water started running down my legs and a small puddle in the floor. I didn't know what was going on. I really thought my water broke, but it was just that shifting positions freed up my bladder more, and the pee just flowed lol. I say it was pee anyways because it didn't happen again after a quick shower and going to bed, and it smelled a little like pee. For you, I hope it was your water. Good luck!
