If my fiance and I have sex every single day and at the very least every other day throughout my entire cycle minus when I'm bleeding, then what is the possible advantage of predicting my ovulation at all?

Well, we sort of did this the month we got pregnant. I didn't temp and opks never worked for me. We just had sex every other day - starting the day my period ended. Bam I'm 14.4w now. I don't have any idea when I ovulated ...

Well because you aren't guaranteed to ovulate on the same cycle day every month, so if you know when you ovulate, you know how long your luteal phase is (number of days between O and period, which differs for some women). Knowing that lets you know when you are late and when to test for pregnancy. You certainly don't have to if you are taking a relaxed approach to TTC, but a lot of women like to know where they are in their cycle.
