Can they, yes. Should they? IN MY OPINION, no they shouldn't because alcohol turns to sugar. My best friends father died because he was an alcpholic with diabetes. Doctors will usually tell diabetics not to drink alcohol. It is dangerous, and yes I've done research. It may be different for some people. I didn't realize I was offending people by saying alcohol turns to sugar lol sorry I am concerned for people's health 🙄
Anyone wanna get mad at me for saying people shouldn't smoke??? 😂

They can,  anyone can do anything they want. It's it healthy,  no. One of my husband's uncles had diabetes and will have a few beer once in a while when we are at camp or something. He drinks an ultra light beer,  less carbs I guess.  But he hasn't had any issues from it I think because it's not often he drinks it.  He's very cautious of his sugar levels and knows his body when he's to high or low

I mean they can do what they want to do,  really. Should they? Smoking is bad even in top health,  I'm a smoker so no stones thrown,  but drinking turns to sugars which could cause a lot of unwanted health issues.

Ooooh they CAN but it'd be very very bad. Alcohol has lots of sugar and carbs. (One beer equals 6 slices of bread!) Smoking is bad for everyone, but I imagine it could make circulatory issues worse? My grandfather smoked for years and they had to amputate both his legs :( and that was without even having diabetes. I know it's hard (I've quit drinking and smoking too so I totally get it) to quit but if you are getting diagnosed with diabetes, it would be soooo worth it to quit! :)

Nobody should smoke. As far as drinking, it depends on the type of diabetes and how heavy of a drinker they are. I think that if their blood sugar is properly managed, it could include A drink as long as a good blood sugar level is maintained.

My uncle had to have both of his legs amputated because he was a heavy drinker and could not stop drinking! So yes, too much drinking can have serious negative impact on diabetics.
