Transition to crib??

Question

How old was your LO when you transitioned to crib? What helped the transition? Where did they sleep before the crib? Any advice would be great, thanks!

We switched to the crib at 10 weeks. We had the baby in a pack and play small travel crib and first moved that into her room for a week. She loves the room she has in her crib and we both sleep better. Before the switch we always Played and nursed in her room so she was used to it in there.

Where does your LO sleep now? We had ours in a cosleeper next to the bed for about 7 months and then switched over to the crib. I started doing her naps in the crib around 3 months so she was totally comfortable with it by the time we switched her over for nights

I always said I wanted my baby to sleep in his/ her own bed ASAP. Now that I have a LO I don't want her to go to her own room 😭 she sleeps next to our bed in a rock n play right now. 9 weeks old and breastfeeding so it makes it so nice at night!! I go back to work in 2 weeks so I really need to start working on it. I just don't feel like I will know when she's awake, or if something goes wrong if she goes to her own bed. She has really bad reflux so that doesn't help my fears....

I just switched my LO to the crib at 7 weeks. He is going on 9 weeks now and doing amazing. I had him in the rock n play at night. I tried just laying him in the crib for naps and different things and he hated it. Would last about 10 minutes in it. I started to swaddle him at night and rock him until he was drowsy then lay him down. It took a coupe days of adjusting but he is now on his normal schedule. He gives me a 5 to 6 hour stretch at night. The swaddle was a life saver and I have a white noise machine seems to love it! The hardest part was he wasn't next to me anymore I was so sad but I knew he needed to be transitioned before I go back to work. We both get better sleep!
