Should the US actively start using racial profiling?

On CNN the other day I saw analysts talking about how the US should use racial profiling to weed out possible suspects and make America a safer place. They also went on to describe how other countries abroad use it as well and are very successful. I do think most people misinterpret what that means and on the network they explained it very well. What do you guys think? Should they implement it or not?

No, because the only real targets would be anyone of color. Let's be real, racial profiling already happens and that's why people like Ted Bundy were getting away with the things they did? The scariest individuals are the ones able to manipulate society, without setting of a single "alarm". I say be on alert because anyone and everyone is capable of doing dangerous things.

At this point, I think we have to. I know I do in my day to day life. I'm hyper aware, I profile EVERY person, not just one race.

This is a touchy subject, on one hand, there are certain groups people that are more statistically likely to do certain things, and watching out for mostly those people might be beneficial. On the other hand, it would be completely unfair for the innocent majority in that group of people, and it's definitely not okay to do that. Basically, I think we should be suspicious of everyone, regardless.
