Did anyone else opt out of all the genetic screening?

Ma

Both my husband and I chose not to do any tests for two reasons.

First, most of the tests are not definitive ( say, you get "high risk" for smth, you end up spending months of your life worried and freaked out, and quite possibly for no reason). I definitely don't need that.

Second, if the the tests were to give definitive results, we wouldn't terminate any way - we would possibly start learning more about the disorder, but that's it. Moreover, you can educate yourself about these diseases without doing the tests. If there was something that Healthcare providers could do about it - say, fix it somehow, - then that would be a different conversation .

I am not trying to be judgemental and I respect every position, I am just curious if there is anyone else who thinks the way my husband and I do :)

Wishing all you ladies HEALTHY babies!!!
