Is anyone else dealing with this? I ended up in the hospital 8 days postpartum with a BP of 205/135. I was admitted and went through the magnesium treatment, lost 10 pounds of water weight in 2 days, and my BP returned to normal. Now at 16 days post partum I have occasional spikes up to around 170/110, but it eventually goes back down. Is this normal? Will my BP normalize on its own? I'm taking metoprolol to help control it and I also just started taking a diuretic twice a week to help with water retention, although I don't have any abnormal swelling. Help!
