What is PGS?

PGS stands for preimplantation genetic screening.  It is an option you have when doing IVF to have one or more embryos genetically tested to make sure that the one chosen for implantation has a good rate of survival.  It is supposed to make IVF more successful.  To my knowledge, that is the only way to have PSG done.  We are probably going that route, but as of yet we have not had it done.

We had PGS testing done on our embryos. Out of 6 only three were normal. We have two boys and one girl. Just transferred one boy on Friday, praying he sticks around.

Chose CVS over PGS due to cost & having to travel to London for it.

Doctors don't even want to try to retrieve my eggs. Instead of at least try to testing them, they just told me I need donors eggs. They just want to keep their percentages of success as good as possible instead of giving me  and my SO a chance to see if we can have our own so: no, I haven't had my embryos tested. 😡
