they don't need to have a comparison if they're just checking that the levels are in a normal range. they may do 2 pokes where ever you are at Jessica but that isn't the standard :) it isn't to see before and after, it's just to see if you fit in a normal range after having the sugar in your system.

Interesting... I don't know how they run the test without the comparison values... Or do they stick you with an iv and just pull from it more than once? Truly at a loss on how it could be accurate with only an after draw...
In Ohio and Florida both my doctors wanted fasting sugar (first stick) and after glucose (2nd stick)... So like I said it's interesting that they only do it with one in some places and I had never heard of that. I have had the 1 hr several times in my life and the 3 hour (which really sucks) several times as well.
