Is the birth easier if don't know what having?

I'm 28 weeks and I am very tempted to find out. I think it will also help bond with baby. 
I have been told the labour is easier when waiting for that surprise to find out what the baby is. Do you agree?

I didn't find out and labor was still painful but the excitement was still there and after she was out I could care less that I was getting stiched up and anything else happening! I would definitely be surprised all over again, amazing feeling, don't give in!!!

In my opinion, meeting your baby for the first time is surprise enough. I think finding out the gender helps you bond and makes it more fun- you're able to decorate and buy non gender neutral clothing.
