"Pre" pre-eclampsia 35w4d... Inducing Saturday!

Had an appointment yesterday where we discovered my BP was a bit high, which prompted a blood and urine test. Please note my whole body is swollen to a point when I don't even recognize myself. This happened with my singleton pregnancy, so I was more uncomfortable than concerned. Urine test came back with high Uric acid and elevated liver something or another, still not confirmation of pre-eclampsia, but enough that Doc wanted me to keep monitoring my BC with instruction to report immediately if numbers rose to either 140 or 90... Well, they did, so I found myself in the hospital tonight for further monitoring and testing. Liver and Uric acid went back to normal, as did BP, but protein levels jumped from 135 yesterday to 255 today, trending toward pre-eclampsia (diagnosable at 300). Long story short, we're inducing on Saturday evening and I'm just trying to wrap my head around it. Very relieved in one sense because My body is going absolutely haywire. Horrendous swelling, severe itching, pelvic pain (of course) levels of everything are all over the place. On the other hand, as a surrogate I'm approaching the end of the road with these boys, and even though I'm 1million percent stoked about their new lives, I know their wild hearts will be missed. Delivery will likely be 36 weeks on the nose. Boys were weighing 5lbs,9oz and 6lbs,9oz yesterday so I'm not extremely worried about their ability to breathe/thermo-regulate. I'm also dilated 3cm and 50% effaced so there's s good chance I could progress into labor naturally before, but aside from all of the technical stuff,  just cherishing these last moments and preparing to see these fellas on to their new lives!
