At home blood gender test??

Anyone thought about doing this or actually do it?
Seems legit but my husband is super skeptical about everything so wanted to see your thoughts/experiences before I ask him.  I'll be 10 weeks tomorrow and we both want to know gender ASAP.

The docs around here have started doing that for you about 8wks in.  Not sure what test they use or where they send it,  but I haven't heard of one being wrong yet.

I did this with my first born, unfortunately it was wrong! It told me I was having a boy and she's definitely a girl! Don't get your hopes up with it.

I probably wouldn't consider it, but the technology behind it (PCR detecting the presence of Y chromosomal DNA) is a standard laboratory technique. If you get any false results those would likely be to mistakenly tell you you're having a girl when you're really having a boy (if the test fails to pick up the presence of a Y chromosome)
