How do I get over my very first heartbreak at age 25??

I had no idea any pain could hurt this bad. I've been everything I knew how to be for him. I put my heart and soul into this relationship for him to leave me because we're having financial issues right now. I love this guy to death. I'm numb. I don't know if I'll ever love again. I can't do this.

It's extremely painful, I know. And to be blantantly honest it'll hurt for probably a long time. Keep friends and family close, spend lots of time with them and get outside to distract yourself (sun and fresh air will make your body feel better and lighten your mood). Talk about him and/or your feelings when you need to. Cry when you need to cry and be happy when you feel happy. Do something that you love and makes you happy like a hobby. Time will heal your wounds and soon you'll wake up one day and realize that you haven't thought of him for a few days and soon those few days will turn into weeks. And eventually you'll find another guy that comes along and makes you even happier than you ever have been or ever thought you could be.

And hey I won't lie, sometimes it helps to get under another guy in the meantime and have some strictly emotionless sex every now and then. (If that's what you want of course)

I'm not a big quote person but there's one that I absolutely adore and made me feel better about my breakup after a 4 year relationship. "A masterpiece is still a masterpiece when the lights are off and the room is empty. You were art long before he came to admire you and you'll continue to be art when he's gone.

I'm 17 and been through idek how many heart breaks I don't remember the first time but, I know that it eventually led to me being depressed when I was 15-16 .... I think everytime I just let myself feel hurt and honestly God saved me I was crying by the lockers every day until some girls invited me to church

It's gonna be hard trust me. It hurts like no other pain (that I've gone through) but surround yourself with people who love you and they're the ones you NEED in your life because love comes and goes but friends who love you are forever (hope this makes sense)
